Melting Glaciers of the Himalayas Threaten All of Us, But Asia First

South Asian nations are scheduled to meet in a preliminary to the Copenhagen Conference to be held this December on global climactic issues. The Copenhagen meetings, where some nearly 200 nations will rework the Kyoto Protocol, suggests global warming may be a closer more acute threat than previously projected. For the people in South Asia, melting glaciers in Nepal may cause more far reaching problems than can even be projected at all.
