Actor, producer, body builder and model, Sir Sean Connery turns 80 today. Made famous by his part as much admired 007 spy, James Bond, Sean Connery was born in Scotland on August 25, 1930 and during his long acting career he is been rewarded with an Oscar for his supporting role in The Untouchables, two Bafta Awards and three Golden Globes.
With a career spanning over more than 50 years, Sean Connery was made famous by his part as James Bond, starring in seven 007 movies from 1962 to 1983. His acting career includes appearances in dozens of movies such as Marnie, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, Highlander, Murder on the Orient Express, Dragonheart, and The Rock.
Knigted in July 200, polled as “the Greatest Living Scott” and acknowledged as Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine in 1989 and later, at age 69, voted Sexiest Man of the Century, Sir Sean Connery is one of the icons immediately recognized by anyone from any corner of the world. He has moved from working as milkman and truck driver to joining the Royal Navy, to later model and finally start acting and producing movies, becoming a worldwide legend.
