[Update - December 6, 2009 - by Mihaela Lica] In recent reports, Zhu Zhu Pets may pose a health hazard for your children. We see ourselves compelled to remove all direct links to any Zhu Zhu Pets website featured on our site.
Christmas is near, and for the last minute shoppers it’s getting harder and harder to find that perfect Christmas gift that will bring a guaranteed smile on the face of the receiver. The most popular choices are also the most expensive, and the hardest to get. In the following we present a list of this year’s most popular gift ideas, for young and old, fun and creative ideas that will make your Christmas spark.
Zhu Zhu Pets: There’s no replacement for a Zhu Zhu Pet [link removed], one of the most popular toys in US this year. Children just love Mr. Squiggles, Num Nums, Pipsqueek & Chunk; their fun-houses, surfboards, and adventure balls. The cute toys have a series of accessories, including blankets and carriers. Their popularity is stunning, and why wouldn’t it be? These little critters, suitable for ages 3 and up, are innovative, realistic, interactive, plush, and artificially intelligent hamsters that talk and move around in their own playsets. Zhu Zhu Pets™ include two play modes: nurturing mode where the hamsters coo and purr, and adventure mode where the hamsters explore their habitat with intelligent audio and mechanical responses to various habitat stimuli. A perfect learning toy, fun for all ages. Will your child get a Zhu Zhu Pet this year? If you didn’t buy it yet, hurry up! You can still find some at Amazon, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Meijers, Hallmark Gift Stores, Palmida, Shopko, Duck Wall, and Fred Meyer.
Amazon Kindle: Kindle was the best selling product in November at Amazon, and it still keeps the lead. “Kindle continues to be the most wished for, the most gifted, and the #1 bestselling product across all product categories on Amazon.” – Amazon announced, and for good reason. Kindle can read newspapers, magazines, blogs, and books out loud to you; and in the Kindle library you can find over 360,000 books, including 101 of 112 New York Times® Best Sellers, plus U.S. and international newspapers, magazines, and blogs. And remember that Kindle has been called “a cultural revolution” by some of the strongest voices in the industry; and some other voices even proclaim that Kindle will replace the traditional books, with their leafy volumes… Only time will tell if these claims are true, but in the meanwhile, Kindle makes a perfect gift for all ages – the gift of reading in a cool format.
Playstation: PS3 and PSPgo are probably the best gifts for teens. PSPgo is gaining popularity this season for its versatility:this is the smallest and mightiest PSP system yet. With the PSP Go users can download the best digital games and movies directly to the 16GB built-in memory and use built-in Bluetooth support to connect a wireless headset to more easily utilize Skype to talk with friends. But best of all, they can show off content via the new ultra-crisp 3.8-inch LCD screen, maximized by the PSP Go’s new slide out control design. And what is a Playstation without the most popular games? This season Amazon, has a lot of popular PS games on sale, like Uncharted 2, Madden NFL 10 and many others.
Samsung LED TVs: One of the greatest gifts is the Samsung 55-Inch LED HDTV, with a minimum sales price today of $3,019.00US. The the Samsung 8000 Series LED HDTVs deliver unparalleled picture quality and enhanced connectivity while also helping you reduce your carbon footprint with the reduced power consumption of the LED screen. And for the best feature: the 8000 Series features Samsung’s new Internet@TV online content service. Developed with Yahoo!, Internet@TV uses either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection to access content onscreen from Yahoo!, Flickr, YouTube and more with the push of a button. The widget-based interface and scrollbar run along the bottom of the screen for easy browsing of the latest programs and content.
Nintendo Wii: the future of all gaming, as users like to call it. Nintendo Wii is smart, interactive family fun for all ages; pretty popular amongst singles too, particularly the Nintendo Wii Sport Bundle. For women, Wii Fit is an ultimate favorite: an innovative challenge that combines the strategy of video games with the movement of exercise, with more than 40 activities based on strength training, aerobics, yoga and balance.

I’m glad ereaders are getting more and more popular, i wonder what is going to happen to book stores. Zhu Zhu Pets are great, they’re pretty much all sold out in local retaliers the only place is to get them online. I found mine here http://www.zhuzhupetsinstock.net

The Wii is definitley easier to find this year than last year. I drove all over town looking for one, spending who knows how many hours looking. Same thing with the WiiFit. I didn’t find that one until spring, when I stopped off at the Gamespot next to the Kinkos I was making copies at.
So far, I haven’t seen Zhu Zhu pets on the shelf in any store, even on Black Friday. I found a website http://www.robothamsterfinder.com that I’m hoping will help me get one. Supposedly it keeps searching Amazon until it finds one in stock (by Amazon at retail price, not from a third party seller) and then sounds an alarm to let you know its available. It sounds like the Wiifinder websites that people used last year to try to find one. I’d love to put one under the tree, but not at $60+ or more.
