Martina McBride Touring the UK This Summer [Video]

In the news from the London entertainment scene today, country music great Martina McBride will be doing her first concerts in the UK in over a decade. The UK dates are supposedly as a warm up for a major US tour to begin sometime in November. McBride’s album “Shine” hit the number one spot on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart earlier this year.

McBride’s schedule for the UK performances begins in London on July 31st, with six shows each in Northern Ireland and the Republic from August 2nd through the 8th. According to the news from Billboard, RCA will release “Shine” to those markets on July 27th. According to McBride, wife and mother of three kids, her time for touring has become so limite, which explains her absence from the UK for so long.

martina mcbride thumbWhen asked about the success of “Shine”, Mcbride replied; “The challenge when you’ve made nine records is to just figure out a way to move things forward, creatively, and trying not to make the same record over and over again … Luckily I’m still making music and people still seem to be interested in buying it.”
