While news of Levi Johnston striking a custody deal with Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol Palin, rock the waves of Google hot trends, even more entertaining news make it to the top list of interests this weekend: the producer of Levi Johnston’s future TV show talks about this project, explaining how there’s much interest from major TV networks in the US. Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office will follow Johnston’s political effort of becoming the next mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
With the announcement still fresh on the entertainment news pages, Scott Stone, principal of Stone & Company Entertainment, gave some details on the future reality TV show and the huge amount of interest it has received only days after being announced. Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office will follow Levi Johnston’s personal life along with his political campaign to run for mayor, run by Tank Jones.
Apparently, having dated Sarah Palin’s daugther and being the father of Bristol’s baby not only gets you a gig posing in Playgirl with most of your clothes off, winning you the attention of adoring women, it also entitles you to hordes of women and men alike being interested in watching your political career, your two partial days visiting your son and your wild hunting activities in Alaska.
As for the relevance of Levi Johnston as a politician, here’s what his opponent, the current mayor of Wasilla has to say about it:
“Well, it is a little early to declare,” Mayor Verne Rupright stated. “Usually, most wait until the year the seat is up.”
“But since I am nearly old enough to be Levi’s grandfather, I think it would be wise for him to get a high school diploma and keep his clothes on. The voters like that!” he added about the former Playgirl cover model.
His ex-fiance and mother of his child Britol Palin was also taken by surprise by his political aspirations either:
“I never knew he had political aspirations,” [...]“I’m glad that Levi has not given up on completing his education and is looking for steady employment.”
But according to Scott Stone, his lack of qualification won’t be a turn off for hordes of female users (Playgirl hasn’t chosen him just for his beauty, of course, they have arranged to publish his photo shoot to redirect all the attention his getting), nor for men interested in seeing the young politician Levi Johnston do crazy things in Alaska, like shooting wild bears. Being a single dad and trying to be a good dad to Bristol Palin’s son, Tripp, (which will mean him following the strict custody rules of their settlement) are also big audience grabbers.
“Levi is well known all over the country, and you can be sure we’ll take advantage of that for the show. And he’ll take advantage of it for his campaign. He’s already come out and said that he’s half-redneck and half-Hollywood, and that Hollywood part isn’t going away,” said Stone.
