You Cannot Just Fire Miss California: Carrie Prejean Fights Back

When Carrie Prejean lost her crown almost three months ago, we reported the news in an extensive editorial about truth, morals, and consequences. Today, in the news, Carrie filed a discrimination suit against K2 Productions (the franchise that operates the Miss California Organization) accusing them of discrimination against her religious beliefs and emotional distress.

“If Carrie had not answered the question in support of traditional marriage … she would most certainly still be Miss California,” Prejean’s attorney Charles S Limandri told Foxnews.com. The lawyer told the same source that there is enough proof that Carrie Prejean did not violate her contract with Miss California USA and she did not deserve to have her crown revoked.

Sources consider this law suit a PR and marketing move. According to these, Carrie Prejean is simply trying to get publicity that will help her sell her upcoming book.

Carrie Prejean also sues the pageant’s executive director, Keith Lewis, and former Miss USA Shanna Moakler – who already fired back at the accusations:

“Ms. Moakler strenuously denies that she did anything wrong and looks forward to proving that in a court of law.” – said Mel Avanzado, Moakler’s lawyer.

The most interesting aspect of this comedy of errors, is that Mrs. Prejean sued all parties involved, except Donald Trump who actually fired her.
