Stuttgart Demonstrators Demand Merkel’s Attention
The people of Stuttgart speak and act out over a huge rail project which many say is unnecessary. Angela Merkel’s CDU government is now under intense pressure to listen to the will of the people. Demonstrators and police are increasingly in conflict as the number of protesters increases. The $4 billion slated for the project seems far too expensive for the majority of Germans, especially when funds could be put to better use.

I Have A Dream and Continual Dishonor Is Not It
The Tea Party Movement has surely tipped a racist hand this time. Glenn Beck’s armies will descend on the Lincoln Memorial, site of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech today. Where greatness and the possibility of equality once stood, today hatred and divisive intent grow. The lines of racial and class conflict grow clearer still.

BP, Obama, and Oil Plumes, In the Absence of Credibility
The BP Gulf disaster has been in the news for months now. The up and down of the oil spill disaster seems like an unending trail of either lies or incompetence of criminal proportions. First the White House say Mother Nature made the oil go away, now NOAA scientists claim it is mostly still in the Gulf. The real science now points to 80 percent of the oil still impacting Gulf waters. What does this mean for Americans and the administration officials on the wrong side of public information?

BP Oil Spill Miracle, A Game of Liar’s Poker
President Obama’s recent swimming exercise calls to question exactly what is going on with the BP Gulf oil spill circus now. Which President can you remember swimming with his kids to reassure people of water safety? Is this a PR shenanigan for BP, or is it just the impression left for cynics?

The Quiet Man, More Than a Google Trend
Today an interesting thing happened, one of the greatest movies of all time became a Google Trend briefly. This would not be so surprising if the film were not over half a century old, but The Quiet Man is there, never the less – if only for an instant.

Dr. Laura and the Freedom to Be Blondie Bumstead
Somehow Dr. Laura Schlessinger seems to think she is the victim in the wake of her racial comments blowup. America’s supposed number one female talk show host blurted out the “N” word over ten times in a radio segment and now her Constitutional rights are being infringed upon? She has a right to be Blondie in my book.

Using the Cloud Crowd, Talent Taken Social 2010
Crowdsourcing was defined in 2006 by Wired’s Jeff Howe. The “Rise of Crowdsourcing” has given way to an interesting state of affairs where business utilization of the cloud is concerned. In point of fact, the crowd is so vastly utilized now many do not even classify engagement as crowdsourcing – but it is.
