Syfy Presents “Alice” (2009) Reimagining Two Classics by Lewis Carroll

Produced by RHI Entertainment, the company that produced Tin Man in 2007, Alice is one of the most expected Syfy miniseries of the moment, reimagining two Lewis Carroll classic stories: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. The show, a brilliant reworking of the two classics above mentioned, stars Caterina Scorsone in the lead role, Kathy Bates, Philip Winchester, Andrew Lee Potts and Matt Frewer. The modern Alice is a young karate instructor in the United States, who is trying to follow her kidnapped boyfriend (Jack Chase played by Philip Winchester), and she falls through a mirror into Wonderland. Like in Lewis Carroll’s classic, the Wonderland is ruled by the evil Queen of Hearts (Kathy Bates); but here the White Rabbit (Allan Gray) is leading the Queen’s evil Suits who have been kidnapping humans for years. Watch the brilliant execution of Alice following the White Rabbit through Union Square:

The miniseries abounds in such subtle executions, and sometimes the similarity between the classic story and the new one is hard to trace. But critics welcome the modernity of the approach, and director Nick Willing’s new vision. Alice premiered Sunday, December 6 at 9 PM ET, and it will finish today at 9 PM ET.

    1. Hi Liliana,

I am so sorry you had to deal with that rude posting from your Top 100 PR websites list. I guess there are ignorant, rude people in every field but it seems so contrary to be in PR and be rude like that Peter Shankman. He won’t last long in this field with that attitude.
